Security Officer Selection

After assessing the security requirements at client’s premises we recruit security officers that are suitable for the assignment. Their background, with reference to nature or previous employment, education and linguistic skills (where necessary) are considered. All applicants short-listed are second interviewed by our operations manager.

We have no objection should a client representative wish to interview those selected, prior to an offer of employment and training by us.

  • All new recruits are strictly vetted to the required standard.
  • Applicants are not offered employment until after they have been cleared. Once accepted, they attend a paid basic training course, dependent on client’s requirements.
  • At the end of each day, they sit a written examination where any weaknesses are identified and extra training given, if these are not overcome by the next training session, the applicant does not progress any further. This training takes place in our own or clients premises and is carried out by our qualified training instructors.
  • First Aid training, if required, will be carried out by our qualified training instructors.
  • On-site training is normally carried out in conjunction with the client’s authorized representative. A detailed program of training is agreed that is strictly monitored by both the client and Ammour Security Services Limited. It is imperative that security officers fully understand their various duties that they may be required to carry out. It is therefore extremely important that a close liaison between our staff and client is maintained when setting up a new contract.

Careful selection as to the right type and calibre of staff is the bedrock of a stable and effective security team, therefore it would be our intention to provide mature officers to ensure blend of the skills necessary to achieve this.

To be able to handle the various types of situations that may arise the security team will at all times:

  • Be high profile, confident and capable, without appearing threatening or intimidating to staff or visitors.
  • Be courteous and articulate.
  • Be diplomatic and tactful when dealing with difficult situations, but firm and authoritative when necessary.
